__ ABOUT | ECOGRAM EVENTS | ECOGRAM PAPERS | ECOGRAM PEOPLE |
| ECOGRAM | Began as a series of conferences, exhibits, and other public events curated in collaboration with the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University. We have since collaborated with Parsons The New School, the French Institute / Alliance Francaise, the Goethe Institut of New York as well as other NY-based cultural institutions.
| ECOGRAM | Refers both to the speed and urgency of the issues at hand, and to the iconoclastic architectural group Archigram, founded in London in 1962. Like Archigram, we see the Ecogram events and publications defined less by a specific set of principles, than by an open-minded, optimistic attitude toward critical issues of our day.
| ECOGRAM | Conferences, events and publications are designed around a set of questions, particularly in relation to cities and the built environment.
We are interested in interrogating “sustainability” with the general assumption that it is both a physical and a social issue, and that cities, particularly rapidly growing ones, are central to any idea of “sustainability”. In addition, Ecogram events and publications aim to explore “sustainability” within different geographical contexts globally.
